Robot Brain Software Engineer
RobotX Inc. is an AI robotics company dedicated to enable robots to perform a wide range of tasks in both home and industrial settings—addressing challenges like labor shortages, dangerous jobs, and repetitive work. We are expanding fast, delivering next-generation humanoid robots, robotic dogs, and service robots to hotels, restaurants, schools, government agencies, and enterprise clients.
RX-Brain is the shared intelligence layer that lets one model run across every robot RobotX deploys. You will build the core of it: the perception, reasoning, and skill systems that let robots understand instructions, read their surroundings, and act — and improve as the fleet collects more data.
Our Mission
To enhance human capabilities through advanced artificial intelligence.
Our Vision
To deploy autonomous robots globally and help solve critical challenges in the labor economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and train the perception, language, and policy models that power RX-Brain across humanoid, quadruped, and service platforms.
- Design the data pipeline that turns fleet telemetry and operator corrections into training signal.
- Build evaluation suites — in simulation and on hardware — that measure task success, safety, and generalization.
- Optimize models for on-robot inference and define what runs at the edge versus in the cloud.
- Work with autonomy and hardware engineers to expose RX-Brain capabilities through clean, versioned interfaces.
- Stay current with embodied-AI research and decide what is worth bringing into production.
Ideal Candidate
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or Machine Learning, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong Python and PyTorch; experience training and deploying deep learning models beyond notebooks.
- Hands-on work with at least one of: vision-language models, imitation or reinforcement learning for robots, or large-scale perception.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals — testing, versioning, reproducibility.
- Comfortable debugging a model's behavior on a physical robot, not only on a benchmark.
Preferred Qualifications
- Publications or open-source contributions in embodied AI, robot learning, or multimodal models.
- Experience with ROS 2, CUDA, or TensorRT.
- Experience running data collection or teleoperation programs.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary
- Performance bonuses
- Opportunities for rapid promotion as the company scales
